Happy Friday! How have you guys been this week? This week has been a bit crazy for me. Lots of meetings, dinner with friends, and lots of work behind the scenes to get this blog ready for the month of May. Lots of planning for a photoshoot this weekend as well as planning out my editorial calendar for this month.
I’m so excited for this weekend. I actually don’t have any plans and I’m so excited about that. Since mid March I’ve had plans on the weekends, whether it be birthday parties, brunch with some girlfriends, etc. So I’m excited to slow things down and spend some quality time with my husband. I think we are going to watch the new Key and Peele movie, Keanu. This movie looks hilarious. I mean it can be bad when the plot is centered around an adorable kitten, right?
So going back to this week’s craziness. I decided to go work away from home for part of the week. I went to The Lab in Costa Mesa, which is where this shoot took place. It’s a “hipster anti mall” as they call it. They have yarn on trees! What’s not to like?!
I decided to camp out at the coffee shop there and just edited photos and wrote posts for hours. It was refreshing and actually really inspiring. Do you find that changing your atmosphere every now and then helps with your creativity and productivity?
Ok, I want to talk about this romper now, from Tobi.com. If you haven’t heard of Tobi.com, you’re missing out. They have amazing clothes for very affordable prices. And they have sales all the time! Also, for first time buyers, you get 50% off your entire order. Pretty sweet, right!?
Ok, back to this denim romper. It’s super comfortable, which I love. Sometimes denim can be uncomfortable or clingy, but this piece was soft and was easy to throw on.
What I also like about it, is that you can style it in a variety of ways. I decided here to go for in a more causal direction, with boots and a fedora. But you can certainly dress it up with a cute pair of wedges, long necklaces, and a cute curly updo.
I used to try to steer away from denim, because I thought it was uncomfortable and I thought that an entire denim outfit was so outdated (throwback to the 90s), but I think the denim look is coming back. I didn’t feel dated in this outfit, I felt confident and ready to knock out a few posts for the month.
