Guys, can you believe how fast this year has gone by?! I feel like I say this every year, but man this year really did go by incredibly fast.
Looking back on what 2016 has brought so far, I feel incredibly grateful. Politics and natural disasters aside, 2016 has been a pretty great year so far and there really is so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m obsessed with cheese. It’s blurring the lines of a true addiction. I mean, is there anything better than creamy, delicious cheese?
Whenever I have a get-together I always like to put together a cheese board. A cheese board is simple to put together, and always adds a bit of class to the event.
The key to a successful cheese board relies heavily on offering an assortment of cheese that not only varies in flavor, but also texture.
I usually like to offer at least three different textures of cheese: creamy, semi-hard, and hard. Pictured here, I have goat cheese, blueberry cheddar (highly recommend it), and swiss.
Aside from choosing different cheeses, you also need to choose meat and other items to pair with the cheeses. I like to offer a couple different type of crackers, both different in texture and flavor. I also like to pair dried fruit like apricot and cranberries, along with olives, and an assortment of different meats.
Have fun with the cheese board making process. Don’t be intimidated by the idea of putting this together. Offer a wide variety of options and you’re golden.
